Jun 18, 2026"Gli Angeletti: a surprisingly pleasant find in a very touristy area near the Forum. From the outside, you might expect just another typical tourist spot, but this place genuinely stands out in a positive way. First of all, it’s definitely not a tourist trap. The prices are fair, especially considering the location, and the food feels honest and well-prepared rather than rushed or generic. The staff seemed a bit nervous at times, likely because it was quite busy, but they were still friendly and attentive. What really made a difference was the manager (or owner), who remained calm, welcoming, and genuinely kind throughout the service. That kind of presence sets the tone and makes guests feel at ease. The pasta was exactly what you hope for in Italy: simple, authentic, and full of flavor without trying too hard. It felt like proper, honest cooking rather than something overly commercial. On top of that, the terrace is very cozy and inviting, perfect for sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the atmosphere of the city. All in all, a great experience and a place I’d happily return to when in the area."
